Gymnastics

Brynn has been taking gymnastics over the past school year. To close the year they had a showcase of sorts of some of the things they do in class. Sadly the camera batteries ran out at the beginning. And the few pictures I have speak for themselves: bad. But I did get lots of video coverage to show in her movie when she is old and famous (similar to Justin Bieber's). Yes, someday all our video coverage/annoyance will be appreciated.

Brynn did the beam, ran and jumped and did some tricks on the floor. I know no technical terms. She loved the part at the end where they each took a turn on the 'medal stand' and was given and award.

I was ready to be done with this class because Brynn was so much older than the girls and it was getting lame and annoying. But she was ready to advance, so I tried it for one more month. It was so much better and I really liked it. Brynn has been wanting to do dance for a long time. I had her do gymnastics to try to even out some of the 'girliness'. But, to Brynn's excitement its time to move on. I think dance will start in the fall, we'll see for sure. But I am sad she is out of gymnastics. For some reason I was attached. She enjoyed it, but didn't seem to care when I told her over and over she wouldn't be going to any more gymnastics classes.

Also, the 23rd was our anniversary, 9 years. No pictures of us, and no big celebration. We were so busy with life I can't even remember if we went out on a date. But we did get ice cream at McDonald's after Brynn's gymnastics show ;) Next year we'll have to celebrate BIG: I'm turning 30, Shane 35, and our 10 year anniversary! I'm thinking week long vacation without the kids...
